Geoff Hill formed Ibis Consult in 2005 after practicing for over thirty years as a partner in a number of local and national accountancy and professional services firms, with the purpose of providing high level advisory services to owner managed businesses and high-net worth individuals.

With his renowned reputation and experience for handling mergers and acquisitions, Geoff was appointed as an Executive Director for Begbies Traynor Group PLC in 2006, where he was responsible for the Tax and Global Risk Divisions and negotiating acquisitions, he retired from the group in 2012 following the sale of the tax division.

During his time in practice and as a director of Ibis Consult, Geoff has been involved in a variety of merger broking transactions including a number of small independent practices through to amalgamations of top 20 firms.

For a number of years prior to establishing Ibis Consult, Geoff served as chairman of a financial services subsidiary specialising in pensions, trusts, investments and mortgage broking.

Geoff began his career at Barron and Green in Leeds, before joining Wilson Braithwaite Scholey, initially as an equity partner in 1977 and rose to the position of managing partner by 1992. He led the team to increase the revenue tenfold via acquisition, recruitment and organic growth until leading the firm to a merger with a top 15 firm in 2004.

A British National, Geoff is a keen sportsman with interests in golf, fly-fishing, skiing, tennis, football and rugby, and enjoys good food and fine wine. He is married with three children and lives in Leeds.
